Local Attractions Just nine miles away is the historic sea port of Whitby with its famous links to Captain Cook and Bram Stoker’s Dracula. With something for everyone, enjoy the sights of the harbour, pier, cobbled streets and beach. Why not pay a visit to one of the many attractions including the Abbey, St Mary’s Church, The 199 steps, The Heartbeat Story Exhibition, Whitby Museum? The nearby coastline also offers many other quaint sea-ports including Robin Hoods Bay, Staithes and Runswick Bay. Explore the beautiful North York Moors National Park, famous for its Heather Moorland, pretty villages, faming dales, forests and coast. Regional Attractions Within easy reach of Goathland is a wealth of attractions. Visit Scarborough with its sea front, castle, and Sea Life Centre, and historic York with the Minster and world famous museums.
